“Maybe Tomasetti was right. They obviously have problems with Richard Dawkin's "selfish gene" theory, and they are not fans of E. I absolutely loved it. This is a refreshing new idea in a subject area that is pretty diverse. Therefore, we have here a major supply of guidelines and useful information for our work in our everyday struggle to "play doctors" with our own planet.. When I think of describing this book in a review- it is like this Author hands you Eureka moments and a hundred epiphanies. He still uses an outhouse and based on his writing style, I think he is probably a very uncompromising man. I am convinced that if, early in my career, I had read, understood and applied the principles in The Science of Success I, too, would be in Fortune Magazine's list of the world's richest men.. A really thoughtfully written and honest account of the authors war with OCD . It was evident right away that this book would take me very carefully and very thoroughly through each tiny step of the process.It is aligned with and references PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge, Third Edition (PMBOK ? Guide).
Unlike other review materials that are organized according to knowledge areas and cover the forty-four processes almost equally, this guide divides materials into process groups or domains and weights your review materials the way PMP?/CAPM? weights the exam. There are six sections:
* Initiation Phase
* Planning Phase
* Execution Phase
* Monitor and Control Phase
* Closing Phase
* Professional Responsibility
This is not an unabridged "everything you ever need to know about project management" guide. The guide flows like projects flow. For example, approximately 11% of the exam questions will be on the Initiation Phase, so approximately 11% of the review materials in this book covers the Initiation Phase. It focuses exclusively on information you need to know to pass the exam and features:
* A total of 175 pre-review questions and 175 post-review questions, along with complete answers and explanations
* The facts, presented clearly and concisely with no frills, no fine print, and no digression
* Terms, definitions, formulas, charts, diagrams, and lists that help you retain the information and pass the test
* Advice on how to studTHOMAS SHEFFREY, MSPM, PMP, teaches short courses and college-level courses on project management and preparation for the PMP® exam. He earned his MSPM (master of science in project management) from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
