Since the series is set in a small town you get to know some of the characters from future books before you actually get to their story so as I experience Caroline's story I couldn't wait to see how it would turn out. The text a little technical for young readers, but helps them begin learning that non-fiction is read differently than narrative text.. And most recently I had the opportunity to hear her and her brother give a presentation on this book - very insightful, witty, and again - polite. I fell in love with this series actually a little while after reading the books at the store, now I just love it and don't care wat anybody thinks! This series isn't for people who don;t like yaoi pairings because in the manga there are plenty of sections where the pairing of the series is made quite obvious.Perhaps it's the lovely artwork in the manga or the flowing, interesting plot that hooked me and many others, but FAKE is definitely a must have for yaoi fans. It has spiritual undertones and an essence of an important life lesson passed down time and again in a family.
